Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21, will be an e-Learning Day for Scales Mound CUSD 211.
The forecast I have been watching for the past couple of days is calling for extreme temperatures beginning later this evening, and continuing through much of the morning tomorrow. Keeping in mind everyone’s safety, I feel it is best to have an e-Learning Day tomorrow.
The school board meeting for 6 p.m. will still take place in the school library.

Hornet basketball heads south this weekend for back-to-back games in Abingdon, Illinois.
The Hornets will play the Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes on Friday night. The JV will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity.

On Saturday, December 21, Hornet varsity basketball will play in the Great Western Shootout against the Macomb Bombers at 1:30 p.m.

Please see the attached form for information about the Grades 5-8 Ski Trip. A huge thank you to the PTO for sponsoring a good portion of the costs for our students. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Williams (jordanwilliam@scalesmound.net).
The Fruit and Chocolate Fundraiser will be delivered this Friday, December 13. Pick up starts at 1 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. If those times do not work, please reach out to your child's class advisor to make other arrangements.
Please have your child reach out to the people who they sold fruit and chocolate to determine if the fruit will be pick up by the person who ordered or will need to be delivered by the student.
Students may leave school to deliver fruit and chocolate during their 8th period study hall (2:15-3 p.m.) if parents email the advisors to give permission to do so.

The Scales Mound NHS chapter is hosting a game and craft night for all students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. The students received a permission slip this week from their classroom teachers and we would like them turned in by Friday, November 15, if possible.
